Apparently I had more readers than I thought but not the friendly kind.  My blog was hosted on our taxcollector.com site and was the only open source application.  It was recently hacked from somewhere in Germany and made a mess of things for my IT staff.  Cleaning up a hacked website is quite a challenge sometimes as I have to do it on several occasions using 3rd party content management systems on some websites I administer.

The solution was to move my blog off taxcollector.com and get me on a more robust blog that has more security features. So now I am on WordPress and this is my first post.  It already is telling me that I need to update to 3.4.1 which is probably security related.

My new home is manateetaxman.com which I was surprised was still available in 2012.  I would have thought some local  accountant or CPA would have had that already.
