2012 left to right – Sara Ackley, Joyce Cruz, Linda Parks (not an employee but great help), Robin Boone, Rochelle Hackett, Cindy Tibbetts, Heather Alicky, Kellie Hoffmeister, Marie Munford, Carole Knestaut, and Aimee Brewer.

Since 2000 my staff have volunteered at all twelve Manatee Gold Star’s Caribbean Night held in July performing many duties such as selling tickets, t-shirts, and serving refreshments.
The Gold Star Club is a group of concerned men and women of Manatee County who have joined together to form an organization that raises reward money for murder and serious crimes against children in our community. The Gold Star Club is comprised of 45 couples as its membership. The Caribbean Night event was their major fundraiser. President Ron Getman notified us this year that this would be the last one.
Over the twelve Caribbean Nights thirty different employees volunteered one hundred twenty four times:
- Rochelle Hackett – Coordinator
- Tony Conboy
- Joyce Cruz
- Aimee Brewer
- Carole Knestaut
- Debra Scott
- Ronda French
- Kellie Hoffmeister
- Marie Munford
- Lillie Robinson
- Cindy Tibbetts
- Tamia Mills

It was never hard to get volunteers as the employees always looked forward to the event each year. It has been a great run! Thanks to Ron Getman and the Manatee Gold Star Club for letting us help out.
